After weeks of designing, testing, improving, brilliant ideas and stupid mistakes, we are proud to announce our full range of
iPhone 4 Cases. Some of you have already been (beta)testing them, and have given us valuable feedback, for which many thanks! And some of you already received the first production units that came out.
The range for iPhone 4 consists of 4 different designs:
The Macedonia Case. A double-layered organic structure based on the shapes of fish bones.
The Mondriaan Case. Slide in a credit card and it clicks itself between the layers.
The Weave Case. Traditional woven pattern.
The Double Mesh Case. Double layer design creates box-spring shock breakers.
More details on our
iPhone 4 Page.

Janne Kytannen, the designer for this range, took a well-deserved holiday last week.
Janne about the new iPhone 4 range: ” I am proud to see the Macedonia design, with which we originally developed a tray for
FOC, work so well on the iPhone. With the Mondriaan we were combining two earlier ideas: the double layered structure, and our wish to carry a couple of bank cards into town without needing a wallet.”

Jurjen Rolf, Fresh Fiber: “We received questions about what we could do to protect the front side of the iPhone. Now, I don’t like bulky phone cases and also don’t like hassle with removing flaps to answer a call. Our solution was to curl the edge of the iPhone 4 case around its sides, and over the front phone screen, so you cannot lay or drop your iPhone directly on its glass.”
The cases are
3-D printed, using laser sintered nylon. This technique has been used in industry for the rapid prototyping. Fresh Fiber is the first to let end-users enjoy 3-D printed electronics accessories. The material of the cases is sturdy but flexible.
The iPhone 4 collection is available through the
Fresh Fiber Online Store. They will sell in
retail shops throughout Europe and Middle East from early november 2010.
